1) Windows Registry Changes:
 Regedit – Replace the following key values:

HKEY_CURRENT \ USERControl \ PanelDesktop

  • WaitToKillAppTimeout = 1000
  • HungAppTimeout=1000
  • AutoEndTasks=1

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ ControlSet001\ Control \ Session Manager \ Memory Management \

  • DisablePagingExecutive=1

2) Disable the following services:

  • Alerter
  • Application Layer Gateway Service
  • Clipbook
  • Computer Browser
  • Fax Service
  • Messenger
  • Network Location Awareness (NLA)
  • Remote Registry
  • Telnet
  • Themes

3) Right Click on My Computer:

  • System Restore Tab = turn off the system restore option
  • Automatic Updates = turn it off
  • Remote = turn it off
  • Advanced = Performance
Visual Effects Tab = select the Adjust for best performance
Advanced Tab = Virtual Memory

Select the Custom Size option
type the amount of RAM Memory you have installed
